Court orders Mazurov to pay over 21 bln rbl to Sberbank
MOSCOW, Dec 12 (PRIME) -- The Simonovsky District Court of Moscow has ordered the founder of Russian oil company New Stream Dmitry Mazurov to repay Sberbank for damages over 21 billion rubles, according to the information obtained by PRIME in the court on Tuesday.
The court also satisfied the claim of the Antipinsky oil refinery obliging Mazurov to pay the enterprise more than 1.7 billion rubles.
The court also sentenced Mazurov to 10 years in prison, his accomplice Alexander Kurilov to eight years.
Mazurov is charged with five cases of fraud, theft of property and infliction of a grave injury. According to the investigation, Mazurov and his accomplices stole money from Sberbank and the Antipinsky oil refinery by executing documents for non-repayable loans and signing false lease, construction and property purchase agreements with controlled entrepreneurs.
Sberbank sued Mazurov for almost 12 billion rubles and U.S. $100 million, the Antipinsky oil refinery for 1.7 billion rubles. Also, a victim, who, according to the investigation, was attacked on Mazurov's order, sued for 9 million rubles.
